About DevPlain
DevPlain builds free, privacy-friendly text tools for developers, writers and students. The site focuses on the small utilities that are needed every day but are often buried in ad-heavy pages or hidden behind accounts: formatting JSON, counting words, converting case, encoding URLs and Base64, generating passwords and converting CSV to JSON.
What we build
Every tool is a single page that works entirely in your browser: paste or type, click, and read the result. Each page also documents how the tool works, its limits and the edge cases we test, so you can judge the output instead of trusting it blindly.
Quality promise
- Every tool runs client-side: input never leaves your browser, and nothing you paste is stored.
- No account, no upload, no hidden limits — open a page and use the tool.
- Parsing and conversion rely on well-tested browser APIs and the open-source papaparse library.
